Children's Social Worker

Family First Social Worker | East Midlands | £38.00 per hour | Hybrid

Join a Family First Team within a Local Authority in the East Midlands. The Social Worker will support children and families through child and family assessments, early intervention, safeguarding and targeted family support. The role involves managing complex cases, completing risk assessments, developing child-centred care plans and working collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to prevent family breakdown and reduce the need for children to enter care. The role offers £38.00/hour, hybrid working and an initial 3-month contract, with the potential to extend to 6 months.

This is a locum opportunity requiring 3 years' post-qualified experience within a Local Authority. Previous frontline children's social work experience is essential, including child protection, Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Section 47 enquiries and family assessments. Knowledge of the Children Act, safeguarding procedures, threshold decisions, multi-agency working and court proceedings will be beneficial.
