Social Worker

We are looking for an Adult's Social Worker to join a Community Team.

Do not apply for this role if you do not have a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience.

This job requires a mixture of hybrid working scheme with 2-3 days present in the office. You will be required to support and assess vulnerable Adults with duty.

About the team

This team specialises in supporting vulnerable adults 18+ within the community and play a key role in supporting them to live as independently and safe as possible. The team complete community and safeguarding assessments to ensure the right support is provided, care plan's are working and to change if necessary.

About you

Social Workers must hold a Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) and have a minimum of three years' post-qualifying experience. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are also required.

Main Responsibilities

• Assess and review people's needs and make sure they receive the right support.
• Arrange social care services safely, effectively and within appropriate timescales.
• Provide advice and information to service users and carers.
• Work with other organisations and professionals, including health services, charities and voluntary organisations.
• Keep accurate records and use the council's IT systems properly.
• Follow relevant laws, policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.
• Promote independence, helping people maximise what they can do for themselves.
• Involve service users and carers in decisions and in evaluating the services they receive.
• Attend supervision, training and team meetings, and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Escalate urgent or complex cases to the appropriate manager.
• Respect equality, confidentiality and people's rights.
• Contribute to improving the service and developing the team.
