Social Worker

We are looking for a Hospital Social Worker at St Richards Hospital

This role required a Social Worker Qualification with a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience.

This job requires a mixture of hybrid working and in hospital requiring of 2 - 3 days present in office a week. You will be required to attend the hospital to support with duty and visit the wards to undertake assessments and attend family meetings. We also work as part of the multi-disciplinary team covering A&E and the emergency floor.

About the team

The Hospital Social Work Team assesses people currently in hospital and after they have been discharged to identify what care and support they need. The team helps people maintain their independence and works closely with healthcare professionals, community services and voluntary organisations. It is a fast-paced role with opportunities to learn, gain experience and develop as a practitioner.

About you

Social Workers must hold a Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) and have a minimum of three years' post-qualifying experience. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are also required.

• Work closely with doctors, nurses, therapists, community services and charities.
• Workers who can communicate well, prioritise tasks and make good decisions.
• Provide a supportive environment where staff can learn and develop their social-work skills.
• Assess patients in hospital and after they have gone home.

What's on offer?

£38.00 per hour Umbrella (PAYE payment options available also)
35 per hour plus £150 per week expenses
