Therapeutic Care Worker

A specialist children's home in Lewes, East Sussex is looking for permanent Therapeutic Care Workers to join their team.

Specialising in the therapeutic care and support for young people who have displayed or are displaying problematic sexual behaviour and mindset. This role involves working with young people to help them understand healthy relationships and help them build a positive future.

A Therapeutic Care Worker is the most rewarding job you can do but does require commitment, self sacrifice, empathy, self reflection, resilience and ability to compartmentalise.

For this role you must have the following :

• Prior experience working with children (Youth Work, Custodial or Youth Justice, Care Leavers, SEN education or PRU unit)
• Aged over 22 (due to requirements of the home)
• Full driving License
• Be able to work 48 hour shifts including sleep ins
• Full committment to this career pathway including challenges such as challenging behaviour, physical and verbal aggression, sacrifice weekends, Bank Holidays and Christmas if need be.
