Support Worker

A children's home based in Exeter is looking to recruit permanent Support Worker to support their young people.

A residential children's home is a safe and nurturing environment for some of the country's most vulnerable young people. It should be safe but it should also be fun, healthy and somewhere they enjoy being.

This is why we are looking for energetic, passionate and resilient people who want to extend or start their career in children's homes.

The job is a permanent full time role paying base pay of £26,824 plus £4,000 uplifts per annum for sleep in shifts. You will work a mixture of early, lates, weekends, sleep in shifts.

Your role will be to be a positive role model, help the young people in their daily lives, help them manage emotions, stressors and be a positive influence on their view of the world.

If you have any of the following we want to hear from you -

• Work experience with children or young people including youth work, social care, young offenders, SEN education
• Voluntary experience with children and young people
• Relevant degree in psychology, counselling, therapy, sociology
