Residential Support Worker - Nottinghamshire

We're recruiting Residential Support Workers on behalf of a well-established charity supporting children and young people in Worksop nd Newark on trent.

As part of a dedicated residential team, you'll support children and young people aged 5-18 who have experienced significant childhood trauma, including neglect, domestic abuse, exploitation, and violence. You'll help provide a safe, nurturing, and stable environment where young people can build confidence, develop life skills, and work towards a brighter future.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will:

Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
Support daily routines, education, and recreational activities
Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and personal development
Maintain a safe, caring, and supportive home environment
Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people

Due to the nature of residential care, flexibility is essential. The role includes:

Long shifts, including occasional 24-hour shifts
Overnight sleep-in duties
Alternate weekend working
Remaining beyond your scheduled finish time when required to ensure safe handovers and continuity of care

Salary of £32,908 per annum (including two sleep-in shifts per week)
39-hour contracted week (45-hour contracts available in selected homes)
