A Local Authority is looking for Social Worker for their Children in Care - Court service in the Northamptonshire area. This is a permanent and full-time position that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

Assess the child's safety, welfare, and needs.
Investigate concerns and gather information from relevant sources.
Prepare reports and provide recommendations to the court.
Represent and promote the child's best interests.
Ensure the child's wishes and feelings are considered.
Support care planning and recommend appropriate services.
Monitor the child's well-being and safeguarding needs.
Work with families, carers, and other professionals.
Attend court hearings and provide professional evidence.
Maintain accurate records and comply with legal and professional standards.

About you

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in Children's Social Work whilst having an up-to-date understanding of relevant fostering legislation. This is a growing team with long-term potential to progress into a senior position and beyond when opportunities arise.
