Adult social worker

We are currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a brand-new Mental Health MASH Team in North London.

Do not apply unless you hold a Social Work qualification and have a minimum of 2 years permanent Adult Social Work experience within a Local Authority.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new Mental Health MASH function within an NHS-integrated Single Point of Access Team in North London. Working on-site 4-5 days per week, the role focuses on receiving, screening, and triaging incoming mental health safeguarding concerns and referrals.

Key responsibilities include carrying out initial safeguarding enquiries, gathering information, making evidence-based decisions around risk and Section 42 thresholds, and coordinating timely responses alongside NHS professionals including CPNs and Psychiatrists as part of an embedded MDT.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent) and have at least 2 years post-qualified Adult Social Work experience.

Experience within Mental Health, safeguarding, Section 42 enquiries, and multi-agency working is highly desirable. A strong understanding of the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and Mental Capacity Act is essential.
