Children's social worker

We are currently seeking a Children's Adolescent & Child Exploitation Social Worker to join a Children & Families Service.

Do not apply unless you hold a Social Work qualification and have 3 years permanent experience working for a local authority.

About the Role

The role involves supporting adolescents at risk of exploitation, extra-familial harm, missing episodes, peer group influences, and family breakdown.

Responsibilities include undertaking contextual safeguarding assessments, developing trauma-informed safety plans, leading safeguarding interventions, and working restoratively with young people and families to reduce risk and prevent care entry. Multi-agency working and strong analytical skills are essential within this specialist safeguarding role.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent), be registered with Social Work England, and have completed ASYE.

Experience working with adolescents at risk of exploitation or edge-of-care is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of trauma-informed practice, contextual safeguarding, risk assessment, and multi-agency working is essential.
