Children's social worker

We are looking for a Fostering Social Worker to join a Fostering Team.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years permanent experience working with children for a local authority.

About the team

The team supports foster carers and children to achieve positive outcomes through a child-centred and strengths-based approach. Duties include completing fostering assessments, analytical reports, SMART care plans and supporting foster carers caring for children with complex needs.

The service also contributes to Skills to Foster Training, duty responsibilities and community engagement activities for prospective foster carers.

About you

Experience working within Children's Services is essential for this role. Strong knowledge of Children's Social Work legislation and guidance is required, alongside excellent assessment and analytical skills.

Experience managing foster carer caseloads, completing assessments and representing services within professional forums is also essential.

A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years permanent qualified experience is essential for this post.
