Children's Social Worker

We are currently seeking an Experienced Social Worker to join a Pre-Birth & Early Years Team.

Do not apply unless you hold a Social Work qualification and have a minimum of 3 years' direct employment experience within a Local Authority.

About the Role

This is an early intervention team that work with expectant parents who have previously experienced child removals, providing intensive support and intervention to achieve positive outcomes and enable babies to remain safely within their families wherever possible.

Managing a complex caseload, undertaking assessments, risk analysis, and intervention planning independently is key in this position. The role requires confident decision-making, effective safeguarding practice, and the ability to work creatively with families facing significant challenges.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years permanent experience in children's social work.

Having strong assessment, analytical, report-writing, and communication skills, alongside the ability to adapt your approach to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families while effectively managing risk lends very well to the success of this role.
