Children's Social Worker

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join Islington's Disabled Children's Team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist safeguarding service supporting children with disabilities and their families across a diverse North London borough.

You will manage a varied caseload, including Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Children Looked After (CLA), and assessment work. The role involves undertaking Family Help and statutory assessments, completing direct work with children, coordinating multi-agency support, and ensuring children's voices remain at the centre of all planning and decision-making.

About You

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. You will have experience within statutory children's services and be confident managing safeguarding cases and complex family situations.

Knowledge of SEND, disability services, and the impact of additional needs on children and families is highly desirable. Strong assessment, analytical, report-writing, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
