£23,000 per annum + £1,000 Joining Bonus
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (No weekends)

About the Role
We are recruiting for a rewarding opportunity within a school working in an Outstanding-rated specialist school supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with autism. This is a full-time, term-time position ideal for individuals passionate about education, care, and making a meaningful difference.

As a Trainee SEN Teacher, you will work within small classes (3-6 pupils), supporting students on a 1:1 basis using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) techniques. You will play a key role in delivering personalised learning and helping students develop essential life skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teaching and learning within small classroom settings
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery
  • Provide 1:1 support tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Support behaviour management using positive reinforcement
  • Assist with personal care when required
  • Support pupils during break times, trips, and therapy sessions
  • Monitor and record pupil progress

About You
We welcome candidates with experience in:

  • SEN education, childcare, or nursery settings
  • Support work or care roles
  • Teaching assistant or learning support roles

This role is also ideal for psychology graduates or individuals looking to transition from care into education.
