Job Title: Residential Support Worker

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We are currently recruiting for dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join a 4 bed therapeutic children's home in Swindon.

This home supports children aged 8-16 who have experienced childhood trauma, providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where they can begin to heal, grow, and thrive.

About the Role:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with their day to day lives, helping them build positive relationships, develop life skills, and achieve emotional stability. You will be part of a supportive team delivering trauma-informed care tailored to each child's needs.

Shift Pattern:

• 2 long day shifts and 1 short shift per week

• 1-2 sleep-in shifts per week (required)

Key Responsibilities as a Support Worker:

• Provide consistent, high-quality care and emotional support

• Build trusting relationships with children and young people

• Support daily routines, including education, activities, and appointments

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

• Maintain accurate records and reports

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals

What We're Looking For:

• Individuals with a caring, resilient, and patient nature

• Experience working with children or young people

• Understanding of trauma-informed care (or willingness to learn)

• Flexibility to work long days and sleep-in shifts

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
