Youth Support Coordinator

My client is a fantastic charity who support young people from a variety of backgrounds including offending, exploitation, care experienced and mental health issues across the UK with their innovative mentoring program.

We are looking for a Youth Support Coordinator to cover the Buckinghamshire area. The Youth Support Coordinator role is a permanent full time role paying £28,738 per annum plus mileage expenses for all travel on a Monday to Friday basis.

Ideal locations for a candidate to be based are : High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Princes Risborough, Buckingham, Amersham.

The successful candidate must have

• Relevant experience working with young people in Youth Work, Youth Justice, Youth Offending, Children's Social Care or Social Services, Residential Childcare
• Live in or commutable to Buckinghamshire
• Driver with own vehicle

The key responsibilities are to

• Manage a case load of up to 25 young people
• Conduct in person initial assessments of brand new young people referrals
• Using the assessment, match a young person with a suitable Mentor in the volunteer database
• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of mentoring to the young people assigned to you
• Liaise with and develop a multi-agency person centred approach for the young person
• Identify young persons needs on a long term or short term basis
• Report any safeguarding concerns or issues to the DSL

This role is a fully remote role but will require 80% of your time out into the community in Buckinghamshire and 20% working from home completing relevant duties. You must live in or commutable to Buckinghamshire as your case load could be spread across the whole county.
