Children's Social Worker

We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Need Team.

Do not apply for this role if you do not have a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in permanent contract/s.

About the team

The team aims to provide quality protection and intervention for the most vulnerable and in need of protection children in the borough. The team manage a complex case load - including CWD cases - and ensure they work in a child centred manner with every case. This position involves offering support and guidance to others in the team with court proceedings and frontline assessments where necessary.

About you

A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipDW/CQSW) with a minimum of 3 years' experience is essential to be considered for this role. Also, knowledge and ability to complete Section 47 and Section 17 are needed. Having previous experience working in Child protection, children in need and duty and assessment lend well with this position. A valid UK driving licence and vehicle is not essential but desirable for the role.
