Job description

The London Borough of Merton is looking for a Team Manager to join their Referral and Assessment Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Team Manager will have experience in both Referral and Assessment work as well as a managerial post. The key to success in this role is to be able to manage a team and provide them with clear direction confidently from the beginning of the contract.

Your responsibilities as a Referral and Assessment Team Manager:

  • Managing performance and authorising assessments within your team
  • To ensure a high level of practice is carried through the team consistently
  • Provide advice and clear direction to those in the team
  • Liaise with connected teams and senior management to ensure cohesive working within the service

Requirements of you as a Referral and Assessment Team Manager:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Have competent knowledge and experience of Referral and Assessment work
  • Experience in a management position

Location: Merton, London

Umbrella pay rate: £45.00 per hour
