Job description

Bracknell Forest Council is looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join their Adult's Physical Disability and Long-term Conditions Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have recent experience in an environment that deals with these types of cases and service users. The key to success in this role is to treat every case individually to create the best possible outcomes.

Your responsibilities as a Physical Disability and Long-term Conditions Social Worker:

  • Manage a complex caseload of service users that deal with physical disabilities and long-term conditions such as blindness, hard of hearing and age-related conditions
  • Complete Mental Capacity Act assessments
  • Deal with Safeguarding enquiries
  • Complete duty work
  • Undertake Care Act Assessments and Safeguarding assessments
  • Liaise with other services within the council in regard to the best intertest of the service user
  • Implement care plans and care packages

Requirements of you as a Physical Disability and Long-term Conditions Social Worker:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Have competent knowledge and experience of Adult's Safeguarding work
  • A valid UK driving licence and car is preferred for this role

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire

Umbrella pay rate: up to £35.00 per hour dependent on interview
