Social Worker - Homelessness Team

A Local Authority in Central London is looking for a Social Worker to join their Homelessness Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

This role focusses on working with a group in Edward Alsop Court that particularly struggle with homelessness and substance misuse (especially alcohol). Their complex needs require a Social Worker with extensive experience in Homelessness and Substance Misuse work.

Your responsibilities as a Homelessness Social Worker:

• Work in accordance with Homeless Link's values, policies, and procedures
• Complete assessments for service users living in other parts of the rough sleeping provision
• Compile weekly progress reports
• Offer support and advice about Safeguarding, Risk Assessment and Mental Capacity, to the support team at Edward Alsop Court and their social care providers
• Offer guidance to service users and their carers in order for them to make fully informed choices about care services available in order to promote long term independence
• Ensure fully formed care plans and resources are in place to ensure as much success as possible

Requirements of you as a Homelessness Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Extensive experience within Homeless and Substance Misuse work

Location: Central London

Umbrella pay rate: £30.00 - £32.00 per hour
