Senior Practitioner - Looked After Children (LAC)

The Role

A Local Authority is looking for a Senior Practitioner in the Kent area. Working to support Children and Young People to feel safe and secure. This Senior Practitioner Role will be in the Looked After Children (LAC) Team.

This is for a full-time, permanent position. The ideal Social Worker will have worked in a Looked After Children Team. The right candidate should be dedicated and have the passion to align with this Local Authority goals.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise, professional advice and management support to Social Workers
• Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of vulnerable children and young people
• Being accountable for the quality of care given
• Attain and provide high levels of Social Work practice and values

Skills and Qualifications Required

• A Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent).
• A valid registration with Social Work England Registration
• Significant experience of working within Childrens Teams.
• A working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care
• Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to be mobile

Up to £46,376
