Senior Practitioner

A Local Authority is looking for a Senior Practitioner (Adoption & Assessment Support). This is a Permanent positions and is full time.

This Local Authority have made a number of changes as they are striving to be "Outstanding" rated. You will be experienced in ensuring that the welfare of Children & Young people is safeguarded. This Adoption service is a part of the Regional Adoption Agency.

Duties and Responsibilities for you as the Senior Practitioner:

• Undertake assessments
• Supervision of less experienced staff
• Reporting to Team Manager
• Therapeutic working
• Hold a complex caseload

Requirements for you as the Senior Practitioner:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Significant experience within Adoption
• Significant experience within Children's Social Work
• A working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care

Location: Birmingham

Salary range: £41,000 - £47,024 d.o.e + benefits
