Senior Practitioner

A Kent-based Local Authority is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Adoption team. As the Senior Practitioner, you will be supporting the safeguarding and child in care teams across the region and take lead on supporting the permanency planning of children. This role is a full-time, and permanent position.

You will be joining this local authority's vision on supporting Children and Young people to make them feel safe and secure. As the ideal Senior Practitioner will need experience within an Adoption Team. You will need to be committed and have the drive to match this Local Authority's ambitions.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Practitioner:

• Manage and maintain a permanency planning lead tracker
• Provide advice and information to the social work teams
• Attend all permanency planning meetings with children social work teams
• Identify potential foster for adopt cases, manage the referrals for foster to adopt

Requirements of you as the Senior Practitioner:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid registration with Social Work England
• Experience of working within Safeguarding Teams
• Experience of working within Adoption Teams
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Location: Kent

Salary: up to £45,000 + Retainers
