Locum Social Worker - Children We Care For

West Sussex County Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Children We Care For Team In Worthing.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

Within the Children Looked After service there is the opportunity to build relationships with children and young people over a period of time in order to help them settle, make sense and recover from their experiences and look forward to their future.

In the service there is an emphasis on the importance of direct work and developing and exercising these skills. There is a stable management team who have been working hard on our improvement journey over the last 3 years.

Your responsibilities as a CLA Social Worker:

• To be an experienced social worker with at least 2/3 years CLA experience.
• Recent Front line Child Protection work
• Good assessment skills that are able to identify risk
• Direct work with children to be able to identify their needs
• Good multi agency working experience

Requirements of you as a CLA Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience in Children Looked After Service
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

Location: Bridge House, Durrington, Worthing

Umbrella pay rate: £38.00
