Job description

London Borough of Southwark is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their vibrant 0-15 Care Service.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

The Team are dedicated to high quality relationship-based social work, that is child-centred, family-minded, strengths and evidence-based, outcome-focused and fair.

The ideal social workers with have a passion for direct work. The team will support you with training, reflective group supervision, specialist life story resources, clinical advice and support, small teams and caseloads, and administrative support.

Your responsibilities as a 0-15 Social Worker:

  • At Least 3 years LAC experience
  • Assessing the needs of children with disabilities and their families
  • Ensuring that children with disabilities who are looked after, on the child protection or Child in Need plan or in Transition to Adult social care are well supported
  • Ensure visits are undertaken within timescales, and cared for in accordance with statutory requirements
  • 47 investigations where there are safeguarding concerns
  • Ability to present to panel
  • You will not be handing care proceedings although there have been occasional proceedings for revocations and secure orders .

Requirements of you as a 0-15 Social Worker:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Have competent knowledge and experience of work within Children with Disabilities or 0-15 Team
  • A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

Umbrella pay rate: £35.00
