Fostering Social Worker

A Local Authority in Maidenhead is looking for a Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. This is a Locum Social Work role offering £37.00 per hour.

The ideal Social Worker will be well versed in Fostering work proceedings and familiar with Fostering Assessments and Recruitment. The key to success in this kind of role is to be able to work well with Foster Carers throughout the initial process of fostering a child.

Your responsibilities as a Fostering Social Worker:

• Recruitment, training and supervision of Foster Carers
• Working cohesively with connected services to achieve permanency plans for children
• Complete Form C and SGO assessments
• Deal with initial enquiries and initial visits with prospective Foster Carers
• Visit and maintain contact with them as necessary

Requirements of you as a Fostering Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience of Fostering Assessments
• A Valid UK driving licence and vehicle is preferred for the role

Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire

Umbrella pay rate: £37.00 per hour
