Job description

A Local Authority in North London is looking for a Team Manager to head up their Emergency Duty Team. This is a Locum Social Work role offering up to £46.00 per hour.

The ideal Team Manager will have extensive experience in both an EDT environment and in a management position. The key to success in this role is to be able to strongly lead a team from the beginning of your contract.

Your responsibilities as an EDT Team Manager:

  • Be a team leader, line managing, supporting and coaching a team of EDT Social Workers
  • Ensure responsive service is given in emergency situations to children, young people and vulnerable adults
  • Managing performance within your team
  • Ensure that all contacts are signposted or handed over to the appropriate staff and services for efficient action.

Requirements of you as an EDT Team Manager:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Have competent knowledge and experience of managing an EDT team

Location: Enfield, London

Umbrella pay rate: up to £46.00 per hour
