AMHP - Centralised AMHP Service

A Local Authority in South London is looking for an Approved Mental Health Professional to join their Centralised AMHP Service. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have extensive experience in an AMHP position. The key to success in this role is to be able to start the contract confidently with little supervision.

Your responsibilities as an Approved Mental Health Professional:

• Carry out all duties in line with policies and procedures in place
• Completing assessments/ reports under the Mental Health Act (MHA) 1983 (2007)
• Carry out emergency community visits
• Utilise an understanding of both Adult and children legislation
• Work cohesively with connected services

Requirements of you as an Approved Mental Health Professional:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience of AMHP work
• A valid UK driving licence and car is essential to this role

Location: Southwark, South London

Umbrella pay rate: from £36.00 per hour
