Job description

A Children's Charity is looking for an Adoption Assessments Social Worker to carry a caseload across Central Scotland. This role is a part time (3 days per week) position.

The ideal Social Worker will have strong Assessments experience and/or Family Placement experience. Duties and Responsibilities for you as the Adoption Social Worker:

  • Completing Adoption Assessments
  • Initial Visits
  • Matching
  • Attending Adoption Panel

Requirements for you as the Adoption Social Worker:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)
  • Registered with SSSC
  • Assessments experience
  • Experience of working within an Adoption service or a closely linked Children's Social Work team
  • An excellent working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care and Adoption

Location: Central/West Scotland

Salary: Up to £40,071 pro rata & benefits
