Job description

We are looking for dedicated Teaching Assistants to support young people within a classroom environment working alongside the teacher.

You will be supporting up to 6 students aged 8-19 years with Autism within the classrooms at an SEN School based in a rural location just outside of Woking, Surrey. The students follow an academic syllabus (including GCSES) but with additional support.

As a Teaching Assistant alongside the students education you will be encouraging communication, positive relationship building, inclusion, independence as well as providing emotional support.

Shifts: Monday-Friday 08:30am-16:00pm (including paid lunch break)

Requirements for you as a Teaching Assistant:

  • Car driver essential due to rural location
  • Related Qualification desired
  • Previous experience working with young people

  • Ability to engage with the children.

Pay rate: £11.00 per hour + Holiday pay
