Job: Teaching Assistant
Location: Newbury
Salary: up to £21,269

My client is a charity looking after children with hearing impairments. Working term time only within a residential school that provides a home from home and a safe environment for the children and young people to grow and learn. We are looking for that next future teaching assistants to come and provide support for children's education with an ever-expanding team. Is this you?

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the students as per the Teachers instructions
  • Develop different tools and programmes to assist the students learning
  • To work with students during prep time
  • Monitor and update Teachers on students' progress
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the students learning
  • Assist with audiology checks
  • Adhoc duties when required

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant:

  • English and Maths GCSE or Level 2 qualification
  • Experience of leading education activities
  • Experience of working in a SEND environment
  • Awareness of Safeguarding and how to report
  • Able to remain professional whilst under pressure
  • Work well within a team and ability to communicate
  • Represent the company in the best way
  • Enthusiastic, with an eagerness to learn new skills and a commitment to personal continuous development
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Adaptable and flexible with working patterns when required
