Job description
I am looking for a dedicated support worker to assist in a childrens home based in Hayling Island, Hampshire.
You will be supporting within a 7 bedroom home housing boys aged 10-18 years with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). Most of the young people have also experienced trauma in their past lives contributing to their needs.
The home is set up to mimic the feel of a family environment with a friendly and supportive team around you.
As a support worker you will be responsible of the wellbeing of the young people in your care and expected to provide emotional support, encourage positive relationship building and communication with the individuals.
on a daily basis you will be getting involved with exciting activities and day trips with the children, completing paperwork tasks, general housekeeping, basic meal preparation.
Shift types: long days and waking nights.
