Job description

Support Worker - Based in Basingstoke this is a SEN school with beautiful surroundings and facilities. You will be supporting children up to the age of 19 who have autism and have severe learning difficulties, resulting in highly challenging behaviours.

Driver preferable as public transport access can be limited

Hours for you as a Support Worker:

  • 30am - 7.45pm
  • Full Day Shifts
  • Monday to Sunday
  • Block Bookings available on a rota basis

Pay Rate as a Support Worker:

  • £10.50 to £14 Per Hour
  • Plus Holiday Pay

Requirements for you as a Support Worker:

This is an active role with a wide range of sensory based activities, so ideally the candidate will be fit to work and happy to get involved with the students' activities, including an onsite swimming pool and small farm. Other requirements will be:

  • Child + Adult DBS on updated service
  • Manual handling and Personal care experience
  • Previous experience with children with challenging behaviours
  • Positive and engaging attitude towards to role
  • Ability to get involved with all activities provided to children
