Supervising Social Worker

Manchester City Council are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working within a Fostering environment. The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently without the need for supervision.

Your responsibilities as a Supervising Social Worker:

• Assist with recruitment activity and screening of potential applicant carers
• Support and supervise Fostering households
• Assist with retention of carers supporting the sufficiency strategy in keeping children placed locally
• ensure that the fostered child feels secure and is thriving, and verifying that the carer meets the fostering service's requirements

Requirements of you as a Supervising Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience within child care planning and or fostering
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is preferred

Location: Manchester

Umbrella pay rate: £35.00 per hour
