Specialist Practitioner- Fostering Assessment

A Local Authority in Stoke is looking for a Specialist Practitioner to join their Fostering Assessment Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working in an Assessment and Fostering environment. The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently with little need for supervision.

Please note no fostering experience is required in order to apply for this position. The manager is looking for Social Workers with Assessment experience.

• Form F Assessments, SGO's and Parenting Assessments
• Provide training and support to new Foster Carers
• Deal with initial enquiries and initial visits with prospective Foster Carers
• Visit and maintain contact with them as necessary

Requirements of you as a Fostering Assessment Specialist Practitioner:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

• A valid Social Work England registration

• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

• Have competent knowledge and experience of Assessment work

Location: Midlands, Stoke

Umbrella pay rate: £32.34 per hour
