Job description

The Liverpool City Council is looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working in safeguarding services environment. The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently with little need for supervision.

Your responsibilities as a Safeguarding Social Worker:

  • Hold a caseload of CIN, CP and CLA cases
  • Providing service for, children looked after going through care proceedings
  • Promote welfare of children in their area who are in need
  • Undertake private law proceedings
  • Complete public law orders

Requirements of you as a Safeguarding Social Worker:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid Social Work England registration
  • Have competent knowledge and experience of CIN/ CP work
  • A valid UK driving licence and vehicle is preferred

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

Hours per week: 35 per week

Umbrella pay rate: £45.00 per hour
