Social Worker- Recruitment and Assessment

Manchester City Council are looking for a Social Worker to join their Recruitment and Assessment Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Recruitment and Assessment team at Adoption Counts. This role involves assessing and supporting the adoptive families that have been recruited and ensuring they meet the needs of the children and of the wider pool of children waiting for adoptive families.

Your responsibilities as a Recruitment and Assessment Social Worker:

• Working in all stages of the recruitment and assessment process
• Find the right families for the children who have plan of adoption
• Ensure the children are being placed safely in a friendly environment
• Work alongside children who have suffered trauma

Requirements of you as a Recruitment and Assessment Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience within Social Work
• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is preferred

Location: Manchester

Umbrella pay rate: £35.00 per hour
