Social Worker - Placements Team

Thurrock Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their Placements Team.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have comprehensive experience and knowledge of fostering work and assessments. The key to success in this role is to be able to work with children and their allocated workers to develop profiles and referrals to result in placements.

Your responsibilities as Placement Social Worker:

• Completing SGO, Form F assessments
• Strong Fostering or Placement experience
• Visit children and families when necessary
• No statutory case holding
• Opportunity to support care leavers in finding a suitable accommodation

Requirements of you as a Placement Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience of fostering assessments
• A valid UK driving licence and car is essential for the role

Location: Thurrock, Essex

Umbrella pay rate: £34.00-£35.00 per hour
