Job description

A Local Authority in Greenwich is looking for a Social Worker to join their Looked After children team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker would have extensive experience working on a Looked After Children team or a frontline team.

Your responsibilities as a Looked After Children Social Worker:

  • Working to create trusting relationships with children and families
  • Work cohesively with connected services to ensure
  • Undertake relevant risk assessment
  • Be part of court processes as and when needed
  • Work with foster carers, special guardians, prospective adopters and other people who are looking after someone else's children, so that children's needs are met and that they are able to live as normal a life as possible

Requirements of you as a Looked After Children Social Worker:

A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

A valid Social Work England registration

Have competent knowledge and experience of Frontline work

A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is essential

Location: Greenwich

Umbrella pay rate: £37.00 per hour
