Social Worker Domestic Abuse

Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their Domestic Abuse Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working in Domestic Abuse, CSE, FGM and honour based abuse work. The key to success in this role is to understand safeguarding and support processes for children.

Your responsibilities as a Domestic Abuse Social Worker:

• Work with children, young people and families when concerns of domestic abuse are raised
• Work in collaboration with the team leader to deliver agreed standards of practice
• Ensure the voice of the child and service users views are incorporated into all your work
• Promote a culture which places children, young people and families at the heart of the service

Requirements of you as a Domestic Abuse Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience of domestic abuse work
• A valid UK driving licence and vehicle is essential to this role

Location: Stockport, Manchester

Umbrella pay rate: £35.00 per hour
