Job description
The Role
A Local Authority is looking for an Experienced Social Worker in the North London area. Working to support Children and Young People to feel safe and secure. This role will be in the Children with Disabilities and Autism Team.
This is for a full-time, permanent position. The ideal Social Worker will have relevant post qualification experience within a working with disabled children and young people. The right candidate should be dedicated and have the passion to align with this Local Authority goals.

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload within a framework of appropriate reflective supervision.
- Undertaking focused, analytical assessments, SMART plans and reviews.
- Ensuring all vulnerable children and young people with disabilities receive a service that reflects the Council's commitment to child and adult safeguarding and meaningful transition into young adulthood.
- Working collaboratively with children and families.
Skills and Qualifications Required
- A Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent).
- A valid registration with Social Work England Registration.
- Experienced in working with children in a statutory setting and undertaking direct work with disabled children and young people.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and polices in relation to safeguarding children.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in writing assessments and plans for young people.
- Proven experience in demonstrating your impact on families in achieving positive outcomes for children and influence the professional networks that you work with.
- Innovative and positive engagement with children and families in their assessments and plans and a passion for delivery of high-quality services and interventions to vulnerable children in partnership with a wide range of agencies.
