Social Worker

A Local Authority in North West London are looking for a team of social workers who will be part of a newly established Integrated Neighbourhood Team and have experience of court work, managing a complex caseload, and working with other professionals as a key part of the role.

Experience or a willingness to work with Older People Mental Health Services along with generic social work practice is desirable. We are seeking Social Workers to work with people who find it challenging to engage with services or have hoarding tendencies. We are also looking for Social Workers who have worked in a fast paced and quick-thinking environment.

The post holder(s) will be required to provide a social work service to people and their carers, ensuring that a strengths-based approach is used to empower the person / carer and connect them to their community. In addition, you will identify the needs and desired outcomes with people and carers and give choice and control over the delivery of services whilst promoting independence, in accordance with current legislation, and with the policy and practice of the local authority.

Tasks include working with all agencies in a multi-disciplinary way, to ensure the best co-ordination and efficient delivery of services to people, operating within delegated budgets and contributing to the learning of other staff and students.

Skills and Qualifications Required

• A Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW/CSS or equivalent).

• A valid registration with Social Work England.

• Significant experience working with Vulnerable Adults.

• Experience working in a Mental Health team.

• Must hold a full UK Driving License and use of a vehicle.
