A Local Authority in Central Bedfordshire is looking for a Best Interest Assessor within Adults Social Work to join their Quality Assurance Team on a locum basis, offering a competitive pay rate of up to £294.00 per day.

Responsibilities of you as a Best Interest Assessor:

We are commissioning the assessors to complete 4 of the required statutory assessments (all combined on what is referred to as the Form 3):

• age assessment (paragraphs 4.23 and 4.24 of code)
• no refusals assessment (paragraphs 4.25 to 4.28 of code).
• mental capacity assessment (paragraphs 4.29 to 4.32opf code), and the,
• best interests assessment (paragraphs 4.58 to 4.76 of the code).

In line with their Best Interest Assessor training, the Best Interests Assessor will be required to comply with the MCA statute, the code of practice and associated regulations.

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Experience as a Best Interest Assessor
