Job description

We are looking for a Social worker to join our Children In Care and Care leavers Team

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience in Frontline and assessment work.

About the team

This is a Social Worker position for a Children In Care Team

You will provide effective professional leadership so that professionals can work together to meet the needs of children in need, including those with a child protection plan, privately fostered children, looked-after children, and care leavers. You will work with parents and carers to strengthen protective measures to reduce any risks to the child's welfare while also establishing rapport and trust. You will work with any parental figure the child may have to make sure that the child's needs are met, and where the child is disabled, make sure that you are able to support them so that they are able to progress into adult life.

About you

Knowledge and experience working within a Frontline Team such as Child protection and Referral and assessment is essential for this role. You will also hold a degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) As well as 3 years post qualifying experience.

You will need to have a Social Work England registration and access to your own vehicle.
