Social Work Adult Safeguarding

Wrexham County Council are looking for a Social Worker to join their Adult Safeguarding and DOLS Team. This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Adult Social Worker will be well versed in safeguarding procedures. The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently without the need for supervision.

Your responsibilities as an Adult Social Worker:

• Manage a caseload, this includes routine social work interventions
• Undertake 126 enquiries in line with the Social Service and Wellbeing Act
• Working with individuals needing care and support, as well as families and carers
• Ensure practice and subsequent decisions to safeguard the welfare of adults at risk
• Respond immediately and effectively to cases that arise

Requirements of you as an Adult Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Have competent knowledge and experience in adult Safeguarding work
• A valid UK driving licence and vehicle is essential to this role

Location: Wrexham, North Wales

Hours per week: 30 hours

Umbrella pay rate: £32.00 per hour
