Senior Social Worker

An East London based Local Authority are looking for a Senior Social Worker to join their Family Support & Safeguarding Team. As the Senior Social Worker, you will be acting as a senior specialist member of a social work unit to provide effective services to children and families. This role is a full-time, permanent position.

As the ideal Senior Social Worker will have experience of implementing child protection and child in need plans. Whilst this is a busy team in a developing local authority, there is opportunities with great training and development programmes.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Social Worker:

• Hold complex family proceedings and children deemed to be at high risk of harm
• Implement child protection and child in need plans
• Demonstrate the ability to record to a high standard
• Act as a lead practice educator and provide support and advice

Requirements of you as the Senior Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• A valid Social Work England registration
• Experience of working within Family Support and Safeguarding Teams
• Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Location: East London

Salary: Up to £46,000
