Job description

An evolving local Authority is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Youth Justice Service based in North London. As the Senior Practitioner, you will provide effective interventions that produce positive outcomes for young people, families and communities This role is full-time, and permanent.

As the ideal Senior Practitioner, you will need experience within social work and criminal justice practice. You will need to be committed and have the drive to join this local authority through exciting changes and improvements.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Practitioner:

  • Manage a complex caseload of high risk young people and Looked After Children, subject to YOS intervention.
  • Work closely with family, schools and key agencies to address the factors leading to offending.
  • Provide a source of specialist advice and professional consultation on complex cases to the wider multi agency team.
  • Develop effective intervention plans.

Requirements of you as the Senior Practitioner:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid registration with Social Work England
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence


Location: North London

Salary: up to £55,000
