Job description

A Local Authority is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Recovery and Wellbeing Team around the Essex region. As the Senior Practitioner, you will be providing professional and comprehensive social care casework to a caseload of individuals with severe and enduring mental health difficulties, some of which will be complex and sensitive cases. This is a full time, permanent position.

You will need to have a background within Adults Mental Health. This Local Authority has extensive benefits and a great training and development programme.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Practitioner:

  • Provide support plans and reviews on a regular basis
  • Provide Support and review adults with a Learning Disability
  • Use a strengths based approach
  • Effective provision of after care services and the Care Programme Approach

Requirements of you as the Senior Practitioner:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid registration with Social Work England
  • Must have completed ASYE
  • Significant experience of working within Adults
  • Experience of working within a Mental Health Team
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence



Location: Essex

Salary: up to £45,000
