Job description

A Local Authority is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Social Work Academy within their Children Services. The role is based in Bedfordshire and is a full-time, permanent position. You will be joining a supportive learning culture.

The ideal Senior Practitioner will be passionate about doing remarkable work for children. You will need to understand key legislation and how to communicate calmly and effectively.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Practitioner:

  • Supporting development of NQSWs through their ASYE.
  • Attract and develop motivated, pro-active and reflective social workers.
  • Support professional development within the local authority.
  • Promote evidence based practice.

Requirements of you as the Senior Practitioner:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A valid HCPC registration
  • Significant experience of working within children's services.
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence



Location: Bedfordshire

Salary: up to £46,000
