Job description

An Independent Fostering Agency who is a multiple service provider is looking for an Senior Operations Manager to be based in Crincester or Worcester. You will be supporting the Head of Fostering in leading and developing a high performing region offering operational excellence, continuous improvement and financial performance. And Ensuring consistent quality assurance whilst working at all times within Government legislation, regulations and Fostering National Minimum standards.

This role is a full-time, permanent position. The ideal Senior Operations Manager will have experience within Fostering preferably within the private sector along with management experience.

Your responsibilities as the Senior Operations Manager:

  • To deliver an efficient, effective and high quality service to stakeholders and external regulators
  • To lead and support that quality service so fulfilling the Company business objectives and performance targets
  • Provide positive and dynamic Leadership and Management to the Fostering Service Team, creating a well skilled, trained and motivated workforce
  • To cover the services in the absence of the Head of Fostering with support from Director of Operations/Assistant Director Fostering.

Requirements of you as the Senior Operations Manager:

  • Social Work Degree or equivalent Social Work Qualification.
  • Significant post graduate experience.
  • Membership of relevant professional body.
  • Two years Operational Management experience preferably within the IFP sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering results including improvements to service.
  • Excellent knowledge of childcare legislation; specifically the Regulations and Standards for Fostering.
  • Successful management of large budgets / operations operating within financial constraints and / or competing priorities.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety legislation and their role in protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues and others.


Location: Cirencester or Worcester

Salary: Up to £48,000
