Achieving For Children is looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Safeguarding and Children in Care Team.

This is a Locum Social Work role based In Maidenhead.

The ideal Social Worker will have past experience in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people, giving due consideration to their race, culture, religion and linguistic background.

Your responsibilities as a Safeguarding Social Worker:

To manage an agreed caseload of children and young people in compliance with casework objectives
Consistently maintaining the highest level of professional standards, including the most complex cases.
Direct social work with children and young people
Investigating concerns regarding a child or young person's safety or wellbeing,
Make an assessment of the risk and protective factors in the family and decide on the most appropriate course of action.
Complete longer-term work with families in order to meet identified needs and improve outcomes for children.

Requirements of you as a Safeguarding Social Worker:

A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
A valid Social Work England registration
Have competent knowledge and experience of work within Safeguarding and Children in Care
A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is required

Location: Maidenhead, Berkshire

Umbrella pay rate: £42.00p/h
